I had the best experience at the University of Delaware. Coming in as a freshman, I remember being nervous about meeting people and making friends. I quickly grew close with most people on my dorm floor as Delaware had so many freshman events, RAs for floors that had different activities to do as a floor, and even meetings to check in as to how things are going with roommates/ help to solve any conflicts. There were also so many different activities to be involved in. I was not involved im greek life, which also made me nervous about finding my peolle, but I was able to find my place in one of the many student run activities UD offered. I joined a theater club, a teacher club, a recreational volleyball team and so much more! The party scene was also the best. There was something to do every weekend and even sometimes during the week. I always felt safe on campus, too. There were blue lights all around that if you felt unsafe, you could press a button and a UDPD officer would help you.

The University of Delaware has many opportunities for one to flourish and become whoever they want to be. From different themed events to several ways to get involved, there is no excuse for someone to not be alone on this campus. The academics are great when the professors set up different ways to help the student and put out resources to aid their students. Campus life is calm and relaxing with Main street filled with restaurants and the public transportation at an affordable rate! There is nothing you can't do at the University of Delaware!

I love the University of Delaware! I feel like I've really found a place where I can get a great education while exploring who I am as a person and finding what matters most to me. The campus life is absolutely amazing; there are so many resources and opportunities offered here and I love to take advantage of everything offered. The professors are great and love to help out their students, and I really love the local area of the city of Newark. The campus is pretty big, but I really like how I live in a little college-town and have the chance to have so many unique experiences.
